Bupa Great North Run 2011 · 18 September 2011 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Stroke is the 3rd leading cause of death and the leading cause of adult disability in the UK.

There is currently only 1 approved treatment for stroke and unfortunately this is only available to a small percentage of sufferers.

Research into new therapies for stroke patients is extremely important, helping millions of people and saving so many lives.

Money for research is very sparse due to the financial climate so the more money that the stroke association can raise the more people they can help by funding research projects and clinical trials.

This is why I am running the Great North Run for the Stroke association, Please give generously and help me reach my target!!

Thank you so much in advance

Dave

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
