Saturday was great. I know I've done some pretty hair-raising stunts but that was the daddy of them all. It was not scary-it was sheer terrifying. It was bad enough to begin with, when the pilot went straight down the airfield; but then he banked left and turned out over Strangford and there was nothing between me and the mud flats a few hundred feet below.

Having said that, my confidence grew with time and I did take control for a few simple manoeuvres. I was ok going in a straight line, or turning to the left or right. But I couldn't get the hang of hovering.

Anyway, I think I definitely earned every penny of my sponsorship. Next time I'll go back to Zip Slides!

A big thanks also to Cyril, Godwin, and Daniel; without their help I would never have got off the ground.

Thanks also to everyone at Aero-Heli.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

"The sky's the limit" this time as I am pulling out all the stops and going for a sponsored soar among the clouds on Saturday 25th June 2011, by taking the controls of a Robinson R22 chopper.

I'm moved to do so much for The Cedar Foundation because they do so much for people like me.

For anyone who knows me, this could prove to be both amusing and exciting, (and more than a little nerve-wracking!!!) but all fun and all for a good cause.

I am raising money for The Cedar Foundation who deliver a range of services that enable people with disabilities to get the most out of life and to be fully included in their communities. Their services are centred around the individual needs of each person and are delivered throughout Northern Ireland.
