<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Olivia is a happy 18 month old, however this courageous little girl has had a very different way of life than most of her friends. </span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Olivia was just a few weeks old when she was diagnosed with Diamond Blackfan Anaemia <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>(DBA) and from her very early weeks Olivia and her family have attended hospital every few weeks in order to have life saving blood transfusions. </span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Along with regular blood tests and blood transfusions, Olivia attends multiple hospital, clinic and dietician appointments. During her infancy the visits were as frequent as 2 entire days a week as well as the additional trauma of attending hospital in the early hours to have her feeding tube replaced. </span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 14pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Despite all the needles, testing and medical intervention Olivia is a happy little girl, full of smiles and laughter and an inspiration to us all. But her family and friends and other families affected by DBA live in the hope that one day a cure may be found. </span></span></div>
