I can't really do long runs etc any more to raise money so thought I'd do this instead. One of the few benefits of having MS is that my feet are pretty numb now, which is probably an unfair advantage here.
Of course, I also trip up a lot, which probably isn't.
I was spurred on to do this as I discover children of people with MS are more likely to get it themselves. Not much more likely in fact, but enough to warrant a bit of unpleasant warming of the feet now to support research into a cure later.
Some people have taken the view that this is not an entirely rational act. However, rest assured this is a properly run event, not just a bunch of people having a few drinks and walking over the remnants of Bonfire Night.
Other people have done this and survived.
