Story
PLEDGE TO MY SPONSORS:
Sponsor me and I will run the 2010 London Marathon a FULL HOUR QUICKER than I did in 2009:
That's 3 hours 45 minutes
If I'm going to ask you to sponsor me again then I promise to make it tough on myself...
On 25th April, 2010 I'll be part of a team Kensal Rise running the Virgin London Marathon in aid of Whizz-kidz, a fantastic charity that helps disabled kids live more normal lives.
As many of you know, I completed last year's London Marathon in 4 hours 46 minutes after battling through the training with a case of shin splints and surviving a gargantuan tussle with "The Wall" somewhere in the East End. It was a torturous last 6 miles, but I made it to the finish and with your support raising almost £2,500 for Whizz-Kidz along the way.
So first, thank you and well done to everyone who sponsored me last year. I hope that you will consider supporting this brilliant cause again and to make the decision easier for you I will run the race over an hour quicker. My target time will therefore be 3 hours and 45 minutes.
As you will all know: I'm not a natural athlete so I'm in for a tough time. The necessary training regime will be punishing, but if you tip a little of your hard-earned in the direction of Whizz-Kidz, then it will all be worth it.

Our 9-man team will be turning our world’s upside down during the months ahead, but we are doing this to help Whizz-kidz improve the lives of children effected by their disabilities for the whole of their lives. Whizz Kidz enables disabled kids to live more mainstream lives by providing them with dynamic and lightweight wheelchairs, training and counseling. They help kids and teenagers to feel, act and think of themselves as just kids or teenagers - not as ‘disabled’ kids and teenagers.
