Story

Hello everyone and thank you for visiting our "Just Giving" donations page.

The Year 6 staff at St Andrew's Primary School in Hove will be running (or indeed crawling) the Brighton Marathon on April 15th 2012.

We have decided to support the Brighton based Leo House charity which provides "at home" palliative care for children and young people who have life threatening illnesses. Just as importantly they offer advice and support to their families during this difficult time.

As both parents and teachers we are all aware of how precious every child's life is, and at St Andrew's we have experienced some very sad times when children have been taken ill. This has a huge impact on the families of the children involved and also the whole school community. We have seen for ourselves the invaluable work that charities such as Leo House are able to provide.

We would therefore welcome any donations that you feel able to give. We would also welcome any support on the day itself - you will easily spot us - we will be the red-faced, exhausted looking trio from mile 1 onwards! We are fully aware that what we are doing pales into insignificance when compared to the marathons that some children and families face every day. Thank you so much.

For more information please visit:http://www.leohouse.org.uk/

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks Rick for the £30.00 donation - it came up as anonymous but we know where you live!
