<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>My dad was my best friend and my teacher in life! He was the person I always looked up to and could rely on for help, and also to give me a kick up the backside when needed!...&nbsp; After being poorly for one year, he was diagnosed with advanced cancer and offered trial treatment at Newcastle Freeman Hospital.&nbsp; He amazed the doctors and consultants with his good humour and positive attitude - never ever giving up.&nbsp; Although early signs were good, the cancer fought back sooner than expected and spread so rapidly nothing could be done.&nbsp; He died 22 November 2010, in his own home with his family by his side.&nbsp; This was only possible thanks to the fantastic MARIE CURIE nurses who gave an immense amount of support when we really needed it.&nbsp; I'm now trying to give back with your help!
