Virgin London Marathon 2013 · 21 April 2013 ·

The Ear Foundation helped fund the first cochlear implants for deaf children in the UK. We now support children, young people & adults who use a variety of modern hearing technologies. Offering independent advice & activites to bridge the gap between clinics where they're fitted and home where used.

Story

Hi!

I'm running the London Marathon on 21st April for the Ear Foundation. They're a small charity based in Nottingham that looks after children with cochlear implants (including my goddaughter Phoebe, pictured above!) and their families.

This amazing technology allows profoundly deaf children to hear - Phoebe had hers put in when she was very young and they've been absolutely transformational. The Ear Foundation has been a huge support to her and her parents throughout her early life - they've done so much good work that her Mum now even works for them.

So please dig deep and give what you can - your gift means a lot to me, to Phoebe and to the charity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
