Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Why Halton Haven you may ask? Even if you don't ask I'll tell you.
I first came into contact with Halton Haven when it was the Dom Valdez Centre for Cancer Care, many years ago. In 1991 my dad was diagnosed with Motor Nueron Disease and spent his last week in Halton Haven. At that time they'd never had anyone there with MND. The care he received during those last few days was superb.
In the years since then whenever I've heard Halton Haven mentioned the comments have all been the same. Just choose any superlatives, 'caring', 'superb', 'kindness' etc., and I think I've heard them in connection with Halton Haven.
What more could I say about the Haven? Probably quite a lot, but I think it may be time to do a few stretches and limber up for a walk.
Special thanks go to Laura Neilsen and Jennie Beechey for giving me a 'gentle' prod to get this page sorted. So please dig deep and donate now!
