In July I am setting myself the “Big Blubber Challenge” of seeing as many different whales, dolphins and porpoise in UK and Irish waters as possible. I will be visiting various locations from the far north of the Shetland Isles to the far southwest of England (see www.davesbigblubberchallenge.wordpress.com)
All monies raised will be spent directly on charitable activities. Half will support ORCA’s survey and science work and half will be used to support ORCA’s education work, including our wildlife education officers. All the costs associated with the challenge are covered by myself so that every penny donated goes straight to the charity.
Please dig deep to help ORCA to continue its important work to help safeguard our whales, dolphins and porpoises for us and future generations to enjoy.
I have just set up a blog (I'm new to this blogging thing!) so that you can see how my plans are progressing or read about my latest sightings. Go to www.davesbigblubberchallenge.wordpress.com for more.
If you are unable to donate, why not do your own blubber challenge and try and see whale and dolphins near you over one day, one trip, or more.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Every little helps!
Happy blubber watching....
