Story

It is a well documented fact that Dave does not like planes, and isn't exactly keen on heights.

So it is with some level of madness that I decided to set myself a decent challenge in the name of charity. That being on the 6th May 2012, I will jump in a plane, fly to 10,000ft, and then simply open the door and jump out (hopefully still attached to a parachute or something)

This irrational behaviour is all in aid of the British Heart Foundation, leading the way in heart disease research and prevention. This research will, I am sure, have had a large benefit for my old man who has come through multiple heart attacks and several bypass surgeries. It may also help my own future if I keep on eating chips at my current consumption rates :-)

If you're asking yourself "Why should I pay for someone else to "enjoy" themselves getting pushed/thrown out of a plane?" Well, it's simple. If I reach the target sponsorship, then the jump itself is free. This will enable me to donate the money I would have paid for the jump, directly to the charity, so adding another £200 to the total raised!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the British Heart Foundation and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

So please dig deep and donate now!
