Barclays Wheels For Change 2018 · 7 September 2018 ·

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

When I saw the article asking for volunteers to do the Wheels for Change sponsored cycle ride I was torn.

On the one hand the Princes trust is a great organisation that I wanted to support, and I love cycling.

On the other hand the last sponsored cycle ride I completed broke me.  While it was only 40 miles, it was off road and I twisted my ankle the week before, but decided to bandage my ankle and complete the ride anyway.  While I completed the ride, I have been paying the price ever since and the last few years have not been the most active for me while I have slowly been building up the strength in my ankle.

Signing up for another cycling challenge is a big deal for me.  The 60 mile road ride is going to be a real test for how well my ankle exercises are doing re-building the strength that I lost.

Any sponsorship you can give both to encourage my training and also to help support this fantastic cause would be greatly appreciated.
