Story

So what’s the story?

Well my dads got cancer, my gran had cancer. I have friends who have lost loved ones to cancer. I have been in the cancer wards and in particular the Beatson hospital in Glasgow, you’ll know if you have ever been unfortunate enough to have to visit someone in one of these places that their is a certain atmosphere which is difficult to describe with words other than both harrowing and humbling. I can only imagine what it feels like to be a patient in one of these places, that is even with arguably the finest nurses and doctors attending, it must be truly horrifying.

In 2006 I attended a triathlon in London and was inspired by the other people who had attended for charitable causes. Some serious athletes some have a go athletes, and some men dressed as bananas. So I thought id try one and hopefully raise some cash for this cause.

Hopefully one day there will be a cure for cancer and people will no longer have to experience this, so please dig deep and sponsor me to do an Olympic triathlon at Strathclyde Country Park on the 26th of July.
