Story
Hello
After visiting the Ukraine a couple of months ago on a WJR mission I felt compelled and driven to personally raise money for this charity and other charities. After seeing the fantastic work that WJR do and the many lives they have transformed I have decided to swim 800m, complete a 30KM cycle and finally a 7.5KM run, “in a word a triathlon!” This is the Tri for Life Triathlon which is taking place on Sunday 6th September at Doney Lake Windsor.
Please donate as generously as possible.
Proceeds raised will be divided amongst the following charities in the following percentages: Rays of Sunshine: 25%; WJR: 25%; Help a London Child: 10%; Shelter from the Storm: 7.5%; Kisharon: 7.5%; Barnet Old People’s Welfare: 7.5%; Greenhouse Schools Project: 7.5%: University College London Hospitals Charity: 5%: Employment Resource Centre: 5%.
Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity exists to grant the wishes of terminally and seriously ill children between the ages of 3-18 who live in the UK. We do this by: Granting these children's wishes however impossible the wish may seem. Purchasing equipment such as electric wheelchairs or hoists to make their lives easier. .
95.8 Capital FM’s Help a London Child was founded in to give opportunities to thousands of London’s children and young people experiencing abuse, homelessness, disability, poverty and illness. Over the last thirty-four years, the charity has raised in excess of £20,000,000 and awarded more than 10,000 grants to small groups and charities.
WJR works with communities throughout the world, Jewish and non-Jewish, assisting them across a number of areas, including: Welfare assistance to those in need, providing food, medical support and home care, humanitarian disaster relief, supporting affected communities in their immediate needs and longer term recovery
Thank you for your kind generosity.
