My story
Hi all,
So on the 22nd of April i've decided to run the London Marathon.
I've just completed the Silverstone Half Marathon with Loughborough running club in a time of 1:50:04. This was an amazing day despite the blisters, and scary thinking that I have to double that distance in just 6 weeks!!
Larne Half Marathon - 1:47:51 (PR) 4 weeks to go!!
Now the reason I am doing this...
I will be running with Loughborough Uni's RAG and we are using the opportunity to fundraise for a great charity, Contact a Family. The charity supports families with disabled children, helping them to cope with the added pressures and give them the best lives possible.
I'm sure you'll agree this is a brilliant charity and I know they would appreciate any donation you would like to make. It all makes a huge difference.

<p> Contact a Family is the only UK-wide charity providing advice, information and support to parents of all disabled children - no matter what their health condition. We enable parents to get in contact with other families through a family linking service, both on a local and national basis. We have a freephone helpline offering a one-stop-shop for families of children with disabilities, offering advice on welfare rights, community care issues, education needs and a listening ear with access to interpreters. We also have a number of local, regional and nation offices plus volunteer family workers around the UK. Contact a Family's vision is that all families with disabled children are empowered to live the lives they choose to live, and achieve their full potential, for themselves, for the communities they live in and for society.<p>
