Story
Once again I find myself looking for my next and biggest challenge, I will be donning my lycra and cycling 100 miles in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 in August.
This will be a whopping 100 miles from London central to Surrey and then finishing near Buckingham Palace.
With every challenge, we must push ourselves further and to be able to do this, we need to set targets.
I will be raising money for the Breast Cancer Now charity. Breast Cancer is a disease that effects many lives for both the patient and their families and this charity really hits home for our family, with one of the most important people in my life going through the long and gruelling battle with Breast Cancer.
Julie has been an outstanding woman who’s been dealing with her diagnosis and treatment for a few months now, after we relocated to St Albans for work (approximately 300+ Miles from our home town), it has been tremendously difficult for myself and Jess, unable to see her on a daily basis and help where we would normally be able too.
Julie has shown the most overwhelming amount of grit I’ve witnessed, never showing a single sign of things beating her or getting her down. Having a bad spell just before Christmas 2019, she was determined for it, not to be spoilt. Spending this time with her over the Christmas break, she showed an outstanding level of resilience and determination to push through. This has been nothing but inspirational for me to endeavour on my next challenge!
To participate in this event I need to raise a minimum of £600, and I would like to ask you, my family and friends to kindly donate towards this amazing cause.
