Story

Help the two of us Bummit from Sheffield to Budapest on a £15 travel budget..

please sponsor us to "Bummit to Budapest" so we can reach the target that we need to donate to charity..

..Bummit is an organisation set up by Sheffield RAG (raising and giving) society where students have to raise money for charity and take part in the hike across Europe. the journey is from sheffield to Budapest in Hungary in a week, the Aim is to raise AT LEAST £200 each for the challenge and to get from place to place using whatever methods possible without exceeding the £15 travel budget. to do this will involve travel methods such as hitch hiking and blagging free train and coach travel, all in the name of fun whilst raising for a good cause!!! check out the Bummit website - www.bummit.co.uk

The two charities that Sheffield RAG and the Bummit organisation support are....

Catch 22 – this provides a service to 15 to 25 year olds involved in criminal activities, these people have the potential to offend, and they are offered counselling and education. This charity works with their families and communities so that young people become more productive, independent and therefore the whole community benefits. Over the years, they have worked with tens of thousands of people for young people in difficult situations.

Fable – this charity promotes awareness of epilepsy through education and publicity with money used towards Vagus Nerve Stimulation Therapy which is a treatment for those with epilepsy which cannot be controlled with medicine alone. They support the Epilepsy Information Drop in Centre in Sheffield and help the family of those affected by this condition.

Both charities are based in the Sheffield area with the money given locally meaning Bummit is helping to improve the local area.

...Also, we will organise fundraising events that will be fun and go towards our target. the first being a six a side football tournament that will take place in the new year...

so please help us out, thanks

Lots of Love

Dave and Si
