Story
St Christopher’s Hospice is a local charity providing the highest quality care to over 2,000 dying individuals each year in their inpatient wards and in people’s own homes. Home care is focused on the following five boroughs - Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.
We are all going to die one day, and charities like St Christopher’s Hospice can provide much needed support to the dying person and their loved ones.
St Christopher’s Hospice provided support to my Nan when she was dying of cancer, and my family and I want to continue to support this wonderful charity through fundraising and donations. In an attempt to raise some money for St Christopher’s Hospice, I have decided to try walking from Chelsfield (my home village, located just within the M25) to Dover via the North Downs Way, in less than 40 hours. The walk is approximately 135km in length, and will involve some night walking. I plan to start my walk at 5am on Friday 16th September and hopefully finish just before sunset (about 7.15pm) on Saturday 17th September.
Your donation will mean so much to me and more importantly to the dying and their loved ones. Your donation, however big or small, will really make a difference and hopefully bring peace to someone during the last stages of their life.
