As many of you will know, a devastating drought has caused a catastrophic humanitarian disaster in East Africa. The Disasters and Emergency Committee (DEC) desperately need donations to provide much needed support to the affected people.
In an attempt to raise funds to help the people of East Africa, I have decided to try walking from Chelsfield (my home village, located just within the M25) to Dover via the North Downs Way, in less than 40 hours. The walk is approximately 135km in length and will involve some night walking. I plan to start my walk at 5am on Friday 16th September and hopefully finish just before sunset (about 7.15pm) on Saturday 17th September.
Your donation will mean so much to me and more importantly to the people of East Africa. Your donation, however big or small, really will make a difference and may even save someone’s life.
