A friend and colleague is suffering from bowel cancer so I thought I'd finally get off my fat middle aged arse and do something. 50km walk they said - bah, easy. 50km in 12 hours it turns out - not so much. Especially with my knackered tendons. But I will not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
