Peace Direct have organised Peace Out Loud - choirs singing carols in London Underground stations. Wanting to help, I gained support from a group at Stourbridge Community Choir willing to sing carols in Birmingham. Contacted Chiltern Railways and asked if we could use Moor Street Station for an hour and half. After much delay they said no - they had too many choirs and no space - Interesting not seen a choir there to date!.......
Still wanting to raise funds, I turn to today's event. I've wanted to break through a strong fear recently. For many a long year I've wanted to Sky Dive. A freind, Mark, did it a few years ago and I thought nope can't do it. Can't see me hanging out of a plane at 10,000 feet and letting go. I ain't going to put myself up there and fall. Just ain't going to happen. Well recently I got an urge to just do that. Seizing the moment, I found a centre, phoned and booked. On my way up to 10,000 feet I thought "I should have got sponsors for this - before jumping! Duh!" So here I am retrospectively asking people to sponsor me and donate to Peace Direct. I went totally out of my comfort zone and I'm hoping that you may be generous and support Peace Direct for this effort.
