As anyone who knows me will agree, doing a 500k bike ride
really isn’t my idea of fun!  Apart
from the odd weekend in Center Parcs freewheeling to the pub, the last time I
owned a bike was about 35 years ago.

Having broken my back in an accident nearly 20 years ago, I
am privileged to still be fit and healthy and in a position to attempt this
bike challenge.

Help for Heroes is an amazing charity that supports amazing,
brave women and men who all have an incredible story to tell.

This year is a special year as it is the 10^th anniversary
of Help for Heroes and the 100^th anniversary of the end of The Great
War.
