St Richard’s Hospice is an independent charity offering free, expert care for adults with an illness that cannot be cured, and support for their loved ones and carers. Each year the hospice team supports more than 3,100 patients, family members and bereaved people in Worcestershire.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my 'Just Giving' page.

I shall be 80 in May and intend to participate in a gruelling 60km. (38 mile) walk from Goodwood Racecourse to raise money for the St. Richard's Hospice.

This will be the eighth time of taking part in this walk to raise money for many differing charities. I have chosen St. Richards this time for the reputation it has for the excellent care it provides for its  patients.

I am fully aware of wonderful work Hospices do through my daughter Becki, she being being an hospice nurse in the past and now a Macmillan nurse.

Hospices are 90% funded by donations and provide a free service for their patients, so it is important that we try and raise as large a sum as possible.
