<p><strong>David Higginson,Debbie Higginson,Richard Mcfall,Chris Winters and Simon Higginson's</strong> goal are to travel the Pilgrims' Way by bicycle. Our journey to Santiago de Compostela, will start September 2011 in the French town of Saint-Jean Pied de Port this will take me (David Higginson) 2 weeks of riding alone until I meet the rest of the team in the Spanish city of Leon in the La Maragateria region and take us through Astorga, Ponferrada, O Cebreiro, Sarria, Palas de Rei and finally the city of Santaigo de Compostela in Galicia. People have been making the pilgrimage to Santiago for nearly 1,200 years so, why do it I hear you ask?! Religion. Spirituality. Culture. Or simply to take part in the river of history, to participate in something that has endured for twelve centuries. Whichever it is, as a team it will be the experience of a lifetime and extremely rewarding to conquer......................</p>
<p>We are hoping to raise £10,000.00 for Edward's Trust which is a registered charity founded in July 1989 by Peter and Hilary Dent in memory of their son, Edward, who died of cancer when he was 7 years old.
