Story

Thank you for visiting our page.

On 27th May I will be kayaking the English Channel, along with England, Chelsea and West Ham legend, Joe Cole!

I will be raising money for my son Will, and Joe shall be raising money for Richard House, a charity he has been involved in since a teenager at West Ham.

This video tells Will's story:-

About Will

Will suffers from Cerebral Palsy.  He is quadriplegic, and needs 24 hour assistance for all movements, such as transitioning from one position to another.

Will is 10 years old.  As he grows larger he is developing deformities.  These are presenting in his hips, ankles and right arm.

Will has to struggle from the moment he wakes up in the morning.  He regularly has therapy and undergoes procedures that are painful and frightening for him.

BUT he approaches life with an infectious spirit.  He is brave.  He never, ever complains, and is our hero.

We are proud to be his parents.

What we are trying to achieve

Will had surgery on his back at Great Ormond Street Hospital in 2014.  He was so brave at 5 years old.  He will soon have further surgery to his knees and ankles to try to reduce the impact of his condition.

The coming years are going to be a challenge for Will, and for us in providing him with as much opportunity in life as we are able.  Will needs regular specialist therapy and equipment.  Particularly he will need intensive post-op therapy for a significant period after his operations, and an electric wheelchair.  This, and his continuing care is expensive, and we are looking for support.

We know there are so many worthy causes out there, and are humbled by any donations.

Thank you for your time.
