In 2016 my fifteen year old grandson Jake was diagnosed with cancer. During his treatment, Jake and the family received support from CLIC Sargent. Jake coped with his illness with tremendous courage, bravery and throughout, he kept his wonderful sense of humour. Sadly, the treatment wasn't successful and Jake died in April 2017 at the age of 16.

The Capital Challenge is 26 miles round London. The furthest I've walked, until I decided to enter this walk, was about six miles so this really will be a challenge for me. I'm approaching it in the same spirit as Jake did with his treatment.
