NWCRF spend an average of almost 90p in every £1 donated funding research into the causes of Cancer and how it spreads. Almost all our funding is generated by volunteers from North Wales to North Cumbria and spent in Liverpool, Lancaster and Bangor Universities. Help us find the Causes of Cancer.

Story

<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>The story so far, if you dont know already</strong></span></p> <p>Julie was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in February&nbsp;2004, and had a double mastectomy ,6 months of chemotheropy and radiotheropy.</p> <p>Unfortunately in October 2005, the cancer returned,&nbsp;and&nbsp;6 years on Julie&nbsp;still has breast cancer and is living her life to the full.&nbsp; She has&nbsp;Herceptin intraveniously every 3 weeks at Halton hospital to control the cancer.&nbsp;</p> <p>Julie wanted to give something&nbsp;back, and after running in several race for life events, she now has her sites set on doing a 9 day trek,&nbsp;climbing the Great Wall of China with her partner Dave in 2012.</p> <p>Sadly, Dave lost his Wife to breast cancer and raised money for the local Hospice climbing Kilimanjaro in 2010, raising over &pound;10'000.00. Whilst training 5 times a week at the gym, it was there that he met Julie and they started to train together in preparation for his climb, including climbing Snowdon.</p> <p>Dave and Julie&nbsp;are now&nbsp;together as a couple and both very much live life to the full.&nbsp;</p> <p>They are now trying to raise money for North&nbsp;West Cancer Research Fund, and, with your help could hopefully make a difference to someones life in the future.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">&nbsp;</span>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
