The DNRC will provide clinical rehabilitation for the armed forces and civilians. It will combine neurological, complex trauma and a full suite of rehabilitative facilities together on one site, bringing benefits that could make the establishment unique in the world.

Story

Your donation will bring the DNRC a step closer to being one of the world's best clinical rehabilitation centres for the armed forces and the nation as a whole.  Once opened in 2018 it will help repair people who are seriously wounded or injured in conflict areas, at work or on the roads. It is happening at a time when advances in biomechanics and regenerative medicine means that new techniques for prosthetics and rehabilitation support can be used for the benefit of everyone.  It will provide a centre of excellence for those in need of support now as well as developing new and improved approaches to injury and rehabilitation in the future.

One interesting fact - 85% of injured armed forces personnel return to work after injury.  For the civilian population in the UK that figure is only 16%.  Imagine the how different peoples lives would be if they get the consistently excellent quality of support and care that will be provided by the DNRC.

I hope to complete the 100 mile ride in 6 hours or less.  It will be a challenge but it's a level of suffering that pales to that endured by those who will use the facility.

Please give generously.  Thank you very much.  David
