In my efforts to keep fit and enjoy retirement I am also keen to support charities that I have been associated with in recent years. I have been out to St Andrews, Mtumthama in rural Malawi twice in the last two years. It is an amazing community that started 10yrs ago from a small church and health post that has now grown into a small hospital, large and growing orphange, as well as a primary and secondary school both doing extremely well.  All the areas are requiring expansion; a new larger church is being built to house the growing  congregation, the orphanage has doubled in size with a new building this year, a new primary school is needed, photos on the web Medic Malawi website show children sitting on wodden planks on mud floors! The hospital continues to grow and accomodation is urgently required for staff as well as new facilities for maternity and opd. Supply of drugs and equipment always remain a problem. There is a tremendous spirit amongst the community that I feel is well worth supporting in such an impoverished area. Your support would be gratefully appreciated. Please visit the website to see and find out more information about this amazing small but growing community in  this poor rural community. Many Thanks
