Just to give everyone an update, the training is going well and I have only 2-3 weeks left of having to fit in the long runs until the big one on the 25th April! Thank you to everyone who has donate it is really appreciated. I went along to RedR this week where they gave us an upadte on the work they are doing, it was for me great to me them and made all the training worthwhile.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and give to RedR.
Having passed the grand age of 41, I have decided to run a marathon. (This is considerable cheaper than the usual mid-life option of going for a fast motorbike!). I am very fortunate through work to be able to run for this great charity RedR. They recruit and train people to work on disaster relief operations. Given I have worked in recruitment and HR for the last 12 years and in many parts of the world, they are a close fit for me charity wise.
I have already started training over the last couple weeks and started to focus more on my running fitness.
For the last few years I've been playing footbal, boxing, cycling and running on a weekly basis. So I am hoping for a reasonable time!
So please give generously!
I will keep you updated on my progress
