For those of you who don't know, my 31 year old daughter Victoria has recently had a series of operations to remove cancerous growths from her ovaries which then resulted in her having to undergo a complete hysterectomy.

Unfortunately, during the course of the procedure another form of cancer was discovered in her lymph nodes, some of which were removed. Biospies have identified this as a particularly virulent cancer which is already in her lymphatic system. She is now in the middle of a course of Chemotherapy which it is hoped will result in remission.

Her ongoing treatment and care has been in the hands of the Macmillan Nurses at The Oncology Unit of Maidstone Hospital. Some of you will know the fantastic job they do and I don't know how Victoria would have coped without their efforts.

For this reason I am intending to try and raise money for the staff and patients treated in Kent Oncology Centre at Maidstone.

Using the gym where I work it is my intention to complete the equivalent distance of 3 marathons (126.585Kms) in 5 days, equally split between Rowing and Cycling. (100 Kms if I can't manage it) All being well I will do this between Monday and Friday commencing either 16th or 23rd January 2012.
