Story

Thank you for visiting my page and kindly making a donation.

This year I am running on behalf of Shooting Star who are a local childrens hospice close to me in Hampton - I supported them in my Benefit year and have got close to everyone involved. What they do for the children and their families is truly inspirational and I am a proud ambassador.

The Shooting Star Children's Hospice provides care, support and advice for children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families. These care services are offered free of charge to families, 365 days a year across the western half of London and north Surrey.

I am also donating half my fundraising to my good friends Dan and Lucy Walker who tragically lost their young son Theo.

The Theo Walker Fund (http://www.theowalkerfund.com/) was created in memory of Theo who was born on 20th November 2009 and died four and half weeks later on 21st December 2009 from the congential heart condition, Pulmonary Atresia with intact ventricular septum. Theo's parents, Dan & Lucy were aware of Theo’s condition before he was born and were expecting many complex operations, however following birth it became clear that Theo’s condition was too complicated for the surgeons to be able to perform the procedures they had planned. Palliative care for what remained of Theo's life was all that was possible.

The Theo Walker Fund aims to help families that still have 'their Theo' and are currently raising money for The Brompton Fountain charity, which supports families whose children are under treatment for life threatening heart and lung conditions at The Royal Brompton Hospital in London. Life for these families can be incredibly stressful. The Brompton Fountain helps in many ways, including putting people in touch with others in similar situations and improving the facilities and environment families have access to while in hospital.

Many Thanks again for all your support for both these charities so close to my heart.

I will be running / crawling hand in hand in costume with my pal Amir Qureshi.

Please feel free to come and support us, first round on me at the finish line if we make it... My gut isn't looking good and training is non existent..... Fingers crossed.

Much Love
