Just a short note to explain my story.

My Mother was admitted to Dumfries Hospital and was diagnosed with terminal Cancer. After a week or so she was transferred to a more local hospital in Newton Stewart. This was more comfortable for her and gave my Father easier visiting access. At first my Mam could walk around and was happy sitting in the cottage hospital lounge looking out at the wonderful countryside views.

The care she was receiving was comforting and supportive.

As time progressed she got weaker and on one of our family visits she managed to walk to the visitors entrance and wave us off  ---  That was her last wave  !!

I will remember this moment for ever.
