<p>Each year in March Redlibbets Golf Club (www.redlibbets.co.uk) installs a new Club Captain. I am fortunate enough to take on this role for 2012 and one of my priviledges is to nominate a Charity to run alongside my year of captaincy.</p>
<p> I am delighted to select EllenorLions Hospices with whom we have had a longstanding relationship having raised money over many years since the Golf Club was formed 15 years ago. The following is an extract from the Charity's website:</p>

<p style="margin-top: 0px; color: #666666; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; text-align: left; background-color: #ffffff; padding: 0px;">"The Ellenor Foundation was founded in 1985 by Graham Perolls following the death of his mother and father – Ellen and Norman. The Lions Hospice was built following the receipt in 1983 of an anonymous donation of £200,000 and with additional funds raised by local Lions clubs.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; color: #666666; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; text-align: left; background-color: #ffffff; padding: 0px;">After many years of working together the two organisations merged in November 2007.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; color: #666666; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; text-align: left; background-color: #ffffff; padding: 0px;">Every week, EllenorLions provides hospice care in the family home for 300 adults and 80 children; and each year 250 people receive in-hospice care.</p>
<p style="margin-top: 0px; color: #666666; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; text-align: left; background-color: #ffffff; padding: 0px;">This means that, in the course of a year, we are in contact with over 2500 people".</p>

<p>This is a vital part of our local community - the main Hospice is located in Coldharbour Road, Northfleet.</p>
<p>The fundraising through Redlibbets Golf Club will be ongoing during 2012 and will involved several focussed events, details of which I will provide in the run up to each event.</p>
<p>This is a very worthwhile cause for which Redlibbets Golf Club is delighted to support.</p>
