The idea.
The plan is to leave Cardiff Airport around 5am on Sunday June 12th (Weather permitting) and fly direct to Dublin. This is likely to take around two hours. From here we will fly on to Belfast. At all airfields we will be taking fuel uplifts and obviously carrying out all necessary pre-flight checks. From Belfast we will cross over to Scotland. This is the first phase of the flight and by the time we are ready to leave Edinburgh it will be around 13.00hrs. The next part of the journey, between Edinburgh and London will take around five hours and depending on headwind etc, there is a possibility that we may need to refuel on route. Assuming no real headwinds we should get to London (White Waltham) round 18.00 hrs. After a quick refuel we will complete the final leg to Cardiff arriving around 21.00hrs. In June sunset in Cardiff is around 21.30 hrs.
There is much planning to do between now and the off and I will provide regular updates including confirmation of airports/airfields selected and likely flight plans.
