Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. I have decided to run in the Milton Keynes marathon in April this year. It will be my first marathon and the original idea was to raise money for a small school that I have seen first hand changes childrens lives. My wife childminds three beautiful fun sisters 2,4 and 5 years old.

Mum Michelle describes the situation ......

"Isobel was diagnosed with Autism when she was 2 ½ yrs old, it was an early diagnosis and a difficult one to get with her being a girl as this effects mainly boys. From this point I was introduced to ‘early intervention’ and the options open to me for Isobel. My main intention has always been to help my beautiful daughter be the best she can be in whatever she does and I was told about a place called ‘Puzzle Centre’ that specialized in early intervention for disabled children.

Puzzle centre has very little funding and relies heavily on people raising money to support the centre. This centre provides one to one care for children to develop everything from Speech and Language to developing relationships with other children. It has worked miracles for Isobel and I do not know what situation we would be in without the support we have had from the team there. "

Seven months ago Isobel spoke only a few words and then intermittently. Today she happily communicates with 6/7 word sentences, counts up to 20 (..in Spanish as well! thanks to Dora the Explorer) and is generally a communicative chatty little girl.

Thanks to Puzzle....so......time to show that I am reaching my peak physical condition :-) and to support them as they look to offer more and more children specialised help.

Check out their website for a more information. John Bercow (Speaker of the Commons and our local MP) is their patron.

Thanks in advance for any support you feel able to give. It will and does make a big difference to the children and families attending and hoping to attend the Puzzle Centre
