Hello Everyone,
Well once again the BUPA Great South 10 mile run is approaching fast on Sunday, 25th October, and I am running again to raise some money for the Stroke Association, as I have done for the last few years. As many of you know, my wife is a nurse on a stroke rehabilitation ward for the elderly and every day she sees how debilitating a stroke can be and the permanent changes that this can bring about to a persons life and that of their immediate family. The Stroke Association are there for these unfortunate people, providing help and assistance in the form of Family & Carer support, Communication disability support groups, Counselling and emotional well being, Stroke survivor and family services, plus many other activities and services.
Remember a stroke can affect anyone at any age, not just the elderly. I hope you will agree with me that this is a very worthy cause and will be happy to give a donation, even in these harsh economic times.
