Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
marathon running isnt something that suits my build, !!!!...but when a couple of friends suggested running the London marathon last year , i thought why not !!!...........at the time my sister was in hospital ,being treated for cancer..i said to her that i would do the marathon for her & the doctor that looked after her so well Dr. Alison Jones ...then in october 2009 she lost her fight....she was one of the most precious & close people in my life & to this day i am still devastated , she was an amazing, strong, dependable, brave & inspirational person, who is not only missed by me, but by thousands of people , anyone she came into contact with.
a month later i also lost my Father too, again to cancer, we never told him about his daughter, but i know she would of welcomed him up there with open arms.
so i am doing this run in memory of them both, i know they will be watching & be very proud of me for doing it.
the first part i will be donating to the great charity dreams come true, which gives ill children a chance to visit places they wouldnt normally visit, the rest i want to donate to Dr Jones who is a great oncologist , she did absolutely everything for Suzanne, & was deeply upset too when she lost her fight. Dr. Alison Jones works out of either the royal free hospital in hampstead or the harley street clinic, the money will go towards her research into cancer, a very worthy cause.
So please dig deep and donate now.
thank you very much to everyone who donates.
wish me luck because i,ll need it !!!!
all my love David xxxx
