I am hoping to raise money for Odyssey through undertaking a sponsored trek through part of the Moroccan Sahara. 100 kilometres in 5 days, across hot sands and rocks.

Odyssey is a unique organisation which enhances the quality of life for people with cancer through programmes of adventure based mainly in the outdoors. As a member of staff on several programmes, I have gained much inspiration myself from sharing the experiences of the participants and seeing the difference an Odyssey adventure can make so it is time for me to put something back in whilst sharing an adventure too.

An Odyssey experience can make a big difference to someone’s life. Previous participants wont describe their experiences, Odyssey programmes only work because of the mystery and surprises, but most talk about the return of confidence, some a sense of fun, and many about a regained zest for life.

A previous participant shared this,

“Yes I have an incurable and progressive cancer; yes I’m dying and I may die this year or next year, but Odyssey made me realise that there was still some living to do and I should not‘die’ before I’m dead.”

I would like to help as many people as possible to experience Odyssey. I have been asked to raise £2,500. I would like to raise £3,000 or more if possible.
