Update, Sunday 25 April 2010
Well, we all managed to finish the Half Marathon today in about two hours and 10 minutes -- and there are photos to prove it!
A huge thank you to all who supported us. As you can see, we have raised over £1500 so far. The page will stay open for a few weeks yet, so if there's anyone out there who would like to add their support, it will be gratefully received.
David, Philippa and Mike
On Sunday 25 April 2010 we will be running the Sheffield Half Marathon in memory of Jeff Denton. Jeff, David's partner of 23 years, and a friend and colleague of Philippa and Mike, died of cancer on 15 October 2009, aged 70. Although his cancer, diagnosed in late 2008, was incurable, throughout 2009 Jeff received wonderful treatment from the staff at Weston Park Hospital in Sheffield – Dr Peter Kirkbride and his team, and everyone on Wards 4 and 3. So we would like to say thank you by raising as much money as possible for the Hospital's Cancer Charity, and hope you might be able to help.
