BUPA Great North Run 2009 · 20 September 2009 ·

We are a tiny charity but make a massive difference.... 4,000 children die every day in Africa due to poor sanitation and a lack of clean water. We dig wells, build toilets and give children living in poverty a chance to go to school. ...98% of your donate will goes directly to projects in Africa

Story

Here we go again... Last year I competed in the Great North Run and you very kindly helped raise valuable funding for Henshaws Society for Blind People. This year I have chosen 2 other very deserving charities: Village-by-Village and Martin House. I will match whatever you raise for Village-by-Village through this site with a cheque for the same figure to Martin House Children's Hospice.

Village by Village install sanitation & clean drinking water and educate the children of rural Ghanaian villages

Martin House Hospice is a care charity for children and young people who are not expected to live to adulthood.

I am training very hard this year, gym every morning and jogging an average of 6 miles twice a week and only alcohol at the weekend. So now you know how seriously I am taking this and you can see where your hard earned money is going, dig deep and help these very worthy causes.

Thank you, Dave
