Story
I am trying to raise funds for Tim Daber and his 60/60 walk in support of the Cure Parkinson’s Trust. Tim has set himself a target of raising £100,000 by walking a 60 mile stretch of the North Norfolk Coastal Path from Sea Palling to Hunstanton. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2016 and to mark his sixtieth birthday has decided to undertake this 60 mile walk. Lou and I will be joining him on the 18th August at the start and intend to walk a distance of around ten miles with him and his team and would be most grateful for your support by way of sponsorship.
I myself was diagnosed with PD in 1998 and in March 2016 underwent Deep Brain Stimulation surgery at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London which has improved my quality of life significantly. My consultant there is very involved with the CPT and it is as a tribute to him and his team that I am raising funds. DBS is not a cure but the CPT is working tirelessly with all its funding going into research in order to hopefully come up with a much needed cure.
