Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

To mark both our 50th birthdays during 2011, my wife Karen and I are attempting to raise some funds for charity. Our intention is to dust off the hillwalking boots after nearly 20 years of inactivity and walk the Speyside Way, a distance of approx 68 miles between Buckie and Aviemore, partly following the line of the old Strathspey Railway. The plan is for the two of us, accompanied by our spaniel Lily, to undertake this walk during a long weekend at the end of September.

I am hoping that you will help me by donating money to the ARCHIE foundation. The ARCHIE Foundation is the official charity of the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital and Community based Child Health throughout Grampian, Highland, Orkney and Shetland. Funds raised are currently going to the ARCHIE Paediatric Pain Management Nurse Appeal which aims to employ a specialist nurse who can provide an enhanced level of pain management to local children and provide in house training for existing staff.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

If you would prefer you can donate to the Aberdeen Mountain Rescue Team, Karen's selected charity, by going to www.justgiving.com/Karen-Templeton0 or to the SSPCA, chosen by Lily, at www.justgiving.com/Lily-Templeton .

So please dig deep and donate now.
