<p>On July 8th 2012, Phil Parry and I will be running the London 10k <span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 10pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">to increase awareness and raise money for the practical services and the pastoral care the Apostle Ship of the Sea provide to seafarers.</span></p>
<p>Many people are unaware that over 90% of world trade is carried by merchant vessels. That means nearly everything you use or come in to contact with has most likely been on board a ship.</p>
<p>On board these vessels are the crew who may be away from home for a year at a time. They can offer suffer from loneliness being away from their families and cut off from their culture. At times they are also in dangerous and hostile conditions, such as areas with high levels of piracy.</p>
<p>Your donation will help this vital work to continue to help keep seafarers safe and happy.</p>
