Event: Revs on a coaster, on 24 September 2014
We fight for the hope of young people to create a society built for all children

Story

I owe a great deal to the Children's Society. I've worked with them over many years and seen the huge positive impact they can have in improving the lives of children and their families. Also, I'm not a person who can easily resist a challenge to do something new.

So, on Sept 24th I will be joining ‘REVS ON A COASTER’ as a train full of clergy ride The Big One, on Blackpool Pleasure Beach. I've been warned that I'm expected to do it in full episcopal dress.

The Children’s Society works with the most disadvantaged children to ensure that they are loved, valued and listened to. With them we fight childhood poverty, harm and neglect. In hard times, children are among the hardest hit and miss out on so much of what it means to be children. For many, a day on a theme park is a distant dream. By supporting the work of The Children’s Society we don’t just help them survive, we help them flourish. So please sponsor me for this event and so help bring joy to children living with poverty or neglect.

And if you have any tips on keeping a mitre on whilst hurtling around a fairground ride, please let me know.
