Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have recently been inspired (or is that terrified?) by John Bishop’s Week of Hell in aid of Sport Relief. So I’ve decided to follow in his footsteps and do my own:

“David Belk’s 6 months of occasional activity”.

This will be in aid of the Ituna project (see: www.ituna.net ) although other charities are associated with each of the events so I have listed those in case anybody wishes to support them as well/instead. Money donated via this page will only go to Ituna.

The activity is likely to consist of the following events (although subject to change depending on fitness, diary clashes etc):

25 March 2012: Sheffield Varsity 10k

St Luke’s Hospice (http://www.stlukeshospice.org.uk/)

 Completed in 53:13

22 April 2012: Sheffield Lord Mayor’s 10k

British Heart Foundation (www.bhf.org.uk); Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind (www.srsb.org.uk)

Completed in 52:13

20 May 2012: BUPA Great Manchester Run10k

Various charities, see: http://www.greatrun.org/Events/Charities.aspx?id=4

20 June 2012: Oughtibridge Gala Chase ~ 6k

Completed in 32:04........nice steep climb for about the first 20 minutes nearly killed me!

19 August 2012 - Penistone 10k

Completed in 50:28 (my time) or 50:59 (official time), anyway hilly course and a PB so quite pleased.

2 September 2012: Great Yorkshire Run (Sheffield), 10k

Various charities, see: http://www.greatrun.org/Events/Charities.aspx?id=11

Completed in 51:12

I will keep the page updated with progress/amendments etc.
