Story

Hello

In September, I will be spending two days cycling approx 220km from London to Bruges to raise funds for Friends of the Belarusian Children’s Hospice (UK) (FoBCH).

I will be cycling with an organised group which will leave Central London on 2nd September.  The first day will take us out of London, through Kent and to Dover.  We will catch the ferry to Calais where we will spend the night.  The next day we will remount our bicycles and head for Dunkerque, cross the border from France into Belgium and then make our way Bruges which is Europe’s best preserved medieval city.  We will return to London by Eurostar from Lille.

FoBCH is a great charity and is a major funder for the Belarusian Children’s Hospice in Minsk.  The hospice provides palliative care for children with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses, end of life care and support for the whole family.  All the hospice’s services are provided free of charge.  The chairwoman of FoBCH speaks Russian fluently and is a member of the hospice’s advisory board.  The trustees of FoBCH are all volunteers and the charity’s admin costs are minimal so just about all of your sponsorship will go towards improving the lives of children and their families cared for by this groundbreaking hospice.  You can find out more about the hospice and FoBCH at

www.friends-bch.org.uk

Please help me to reach my target.  My training regime is well under way and I am looking forward to the challenge.

Thank you.

David
