Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is going to be a fabulous cycle ride and what can be better than having a good time, keeping fit AND raising a few pounds for worthy causes. Also Belgium is largely flat! Please sponsor me if you can. St Johns is the nominated charity but we are raising funds for both The Matthew Elvidge Trust (raising awareness of depression in young people) and St Michaels Hospice in Basingstoke as well. Both of which are doing a wonderful job.

WIN A PRIZE!! - Any donation should be accompanied by an estimate of time in motion on the saddle. Base your estimate on an average of between 13 and 15 miles per hour for 300 miles. Take into account my age, and the fact that I will punctuate my journey with ale and baguettes, dont forget the hills of Kent to Hampshire are not insignifcant, and you will arrive at a conclusion. I am a wine importer so there will be a vinous and delicious reward for the three 'gestimates' that are closest to the actual time!

About the charity

St John's Church is the parish church in the Hampshire village of Hartley Wintney. In April 2012, the church commenced the building of a new £2.3m Church Centre, which, when completed in June 2013, will provide new facilities for our church and wider community. Please help us to raise the final 20%.
