For those of you that do not know, Project Harar helps those children who cannot help themselves through securing life-changing surgery for children with a severe facial disfigurement living in the poorest areas of Ethiopia. Children with these disfigurements not only have difficulty in eating and speaking but are also more often than not cast out of society and forced to live on the street, with many of them dying there.
Last year the charity funded and treated 475 patients, and has ambitious growth targets going forward. Through close collaboration with local hospitals and other charities the capacity to carry out significantly more operations exists.
The average cost of each operation is only £250 so every penny you give counts.
