Leaving the bike behind, I’ll be travelling by foot for my third charity challenge of the year. Along with 20 other eager/ foolhardy individuals, I’ll be leaving all my creature comforts behind as we head out into the North American wilderness of the Talkeetna Mountains, Alaska.

Together we will trek 80 kilometres across a relatively unexplored landscape, crossing glaciers and climbing walls of ice, before travelling 27 miles down the white waters of the Matansuka river – all whilst carrying a pack weighing around 30kg.

The reason we're all giving up our creature comforts and taking on this challenge - is to raise much needed funds for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
